The center holds a dark mother-of-pearl disc, and the pendant is finished with a stunning sliver night color Austrian crystal. It all hangs from the neck on a lobster clasp closure. The design is inspired by the deathly despair of the last abbot of Whitby, Henry Davell, as he surrendered his abbey to King Henry VIII in 1539 during the Dissolution.
